I generally don't write reviews, but buckwheat futons seem to be a well-kept secret in the Western world. First, this "mattress" is 100% natural - just organic cotton and buckwheat hulls - no chemicals of any sort or other ingredients whatsoever! Second, it is very comfortable. I am young and open to new experiences, but when I had my parents over even they loved it too!

Basically buckwheat hulls will shift around to conform your body shape yet still provide firm support. On top of that they are better at thermo-regulation - the air trapped between the hulls provides some insulation, yet they are a more penetrable surface than foam and provide more ventilation than it.

Note - the futon is made out of all-new material so it's not washed. When you wash it, use low temperature or it will shrink!
