The Ultimate Massage Chair Review
After over 5 weeks, I finally received my chair. I got an email from seller telling me to watch included video to help set up chair. The file that was on DVD is not supported on anything. I downloaded a program to watch it and it still didn't work. To the sellers credit, his website now has a set up video. I used the manual and it was easy to set up. First impression, the chair is good looking, however, the seller told me the chair was 33.85" wide. It is no less than 35.5" wide and unfortunately I was trying to fit in a tight space. There were so many features advertised that are not there that it makes me very angry. Ad said 2 remotes, but only one. Ad says it has Vibro with 2 adjustments. The chair circuitry has vibro, but no vibro motors built in and the plug for it doesn't connect to anything. It says that it has shoulder airbag adjustment. They don't move like most chairs. My 5'1" friend can't use shoulder airbags because she is to short. I'd guess 5'5" to be able to reach them. For example, the ad pic with the girl sitting in the red chair. She would have to be 6' plus. I'm 5'10" and my head doesn't come close to the top of the chair.
Now as far as actually using the chair. It is zero gravity and will actually go past zero gravity which was not advertised. I think the AD says you need ony 16" from a wall. If you go by that standard, plan on hitting it, you need at least 2 feet. There are not 103 airbags. Not even close. The chair has many zippers for servicability, which is nice, and you can literally count every single one. The problem I see is, they are probably counting 1 air bag as 3 because it looks like an accordian. Even with this being said, if you count every fold, there are not 103. The air pressure is not equal throughout the chair. It has 3 settings. Everyone who sat in mine liked the arms at 2, but the legs at 3 and everything else at 4. You can not change them individually. Anything over 2 in the arms feels like it will crush them, its seriously that strong. However, the head and neck airbags are still too weak at 4. That was why I chose to buy this chair, the neck airbags. They are garbage, very disappointing. The seat airbag is only 1. Its not like most high end chairs where it pushes on your hamstrings. This one expands right where you sit and spreads your cheeks. Its funnier than enjoyable. The leg airbags feel ok, but don't have as much function as most high end chairs. The foot rollers and the electric adjustability of the leg massager is excellent. As far as the mechanics of the chair. It does a decent job, but there seems like no logic was put into the massage program. It seems like it just randomly does things instead of a program that makes sense. Also, you can not manually access a lot of the features. If you want a leg stretch, you have to use the auto program. The chair does have a hip twist feature, but its lackluster. It uses motors to move the seat from left to right. It doesn't twist which would be the proper way to do this adjustment. Also, you can not use this feature unless in an autoprogram. The problem here is, the chair only uses it when you're in almost a zero gravity position. Therefore you have no weight in the seat. It's rocking the seat, but all your weight is on your back. There is a 3D button, which you can only use in manual mode. All it does is a shaitsu type movement up and down your back. And while I'm on user programs. There is only 1, not 3 like the ad said.
Features I like. Heat, there is a heating pad that zips in on the back. You can unzip it and put it anywhere you want, and it gets hot. You can adjust how hot you want it. The cords long enought to move it many places, but this is the only heat it has. Built in mp3 player with speakers in the chair, headphones, and a USB flash drive is included. You can use this with the chair on or off. The speakers actually sound decent and are pretty loud.
To sum up, this chair tried to advertise so many features, it just falls short. I sat in a lot of chairs, over 20, before I bought this one. If I could have sat in this one before I bought it, I would of bought a different chair for less money. This review is not to advertise someone elses chair. I bought this chair based off the conversation I had with the seller before I bought. I have no doubt in my mind that he had never seen this chair in person. Scott was very nice, but I've caught him in so many wrong advertised, wrong dimensions and other issues that I just feel taken advantage of. I'll keep the chair, because after this review. I'd have a hard time selling it to someone.
Buyers beware, good luck!
