I have been needing a diagnostic set that offered the macroview otoscope. You can visualize so much more than with the traditional old-fashioned otoscope. An internist & geriatrician colleague had informed that nickel-cadmium batteries are honestly as good as the lithium ion batteries for when it comes to diagnostic sets. So don't spend $1k for something that makes very little difference. I love that this set included several different sizes of otoscope tips. The ophthalmoscope is nothing fancy, but serves its purpose well with letting you know when to refer patients to the specialist. Honestly, I think the price is right for all the utility that you can get out of this set. This set is great!
