Renting a similar Mason product, so I decided to take a chance and buy this. Haven't used it yet because it is an 8 inch air filled mattress and there is no pad should anything go wrong. I want to use the original hospital bed mattress under it as a fall-back but I need to alter the rails to be up higher. However setting it up and letting it run, it looks to be about the same quality as the Mason that rents for about $700 a month. So running it and checking the firmness, I'm sure this mattress will be a good replacement.
